The stocking-clad starlets hit London to support Breast Cancer Care
Marilyn, Ava and Katharine. All iconic Hollywood legends. All fashionable and beautiful in their own way. And they are coming to a street near you this National Stockings Day…
We have three lovely ladies dressed inspired by these starlets, modelling the range inspired by them. Look out for Marilyn, with her sexy blonde curls and backseamed stockings complete with a velour and diamante bow. Keep your eyes peeled for the flowing tresses of Katharine with her elegant flocked lace topped hold up. And don’t forget the bouffant retro hair of Ava, with her sultry floral printed backseam holdups.

If you caught Mary Portas: Queen of Frocks on Channel 4 last night, you’ll have seen a glimpse of the revolutionary new product which has been launched with Charnos, Armery.
Mary Portas, with her impeccably chic style and instantly-recognisable red bob, collaborated with the team here at Charnos to create this innovative new garment which is set to banish the ‘shrug’ forever. Part armour, part hosiery this one-piece is a fashion fix for stylish women who would like to disguise their arms.
In fact a recent survey found that 75% of women hated their wobbly arms more than any other part of their body, and 80% were so self-conscious about them that they had resorted to deliberately covering up with cardigans and shawls – items not really renowned for their style credentials. It’s hardly surprising that nine out of ten women surveyed commented that they would like fashion designers to come up with a new option for disguising their arms. Thankfully Mary & Charnos have answered the call from women everywhere.
Sleeveless tops and dresses that were once out-of-bounds, will have new life is breathed into them when worn with Armery, which hugs your arms and sculpts them – preventing the dreaded upper-arm wobble – the scourge of grown up fashionable women!
Armery is currently available in two designs – Plain and Luxury Lace. The 140 denier Plain design (RRP £18) is produced using a 3D construction technique, and is available in the following shades: Night Noir, Mega Magenta, and Intense Indigo. The Luxury Lace Armery is made using a special warp knitted lace, with an added bonus – you can cut the sleeves to your desired length and the lace won’t fray! Luxury Lace is available in Night Noir and Charcoal, RRP £22.
Just a couple of months ago, when Armery first hit the shops it sold out on the first day, proving there really is a demand for such a fashion solution! Don’t worry though – the stocks have been replenished…get yours here http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Shop+for+Armery/MaryPortasArmery,default,pg.html

After our Strictly Come Dancing obsession was re-ignited toward the end of last year, we heard that leg surgery was on the increase. ‘The Strictly factor’ led to women wanting legs like Cherie or Jodie, with ‘the Barbie knee’ apparently being the most popular!?
I wonder why women can’t make the most out of what they’ve got? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and most of the time, if you believe in yourself and ooze confidence, then other people will believe it too!
Speaking of surgery, I was reading The Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago and came across an article stating that the ‘…CATWALK craze for 6in-long earrings [had] cosmetic surgeons warning they will be needed to rescue the damage to the ear lobes.’ It certainly doesn’t stop at legs and earlobes either…we all know that women opt for ‘mummy tucks’ and a bit of lipo here and there, not to mention face lifts and botox, but toe shortening to fit in to Christian Louboutin heels is a bit much isn’t it!?
Well we don’t ‘do’ ears, but we certainly ‘do’ legs so why not take a look through our lessons in legs guide and see what we recommend to make you AND your legs stand proud?
